Will the character appearance change when we get higher traits like Fitness, masculine, Feminine. Also will their be a way to change the mc hair if not that's fine. Ps. form the content we have you are stating strong keep up the good work.
Thanks for the support! I can make a tweak to the MC's default hairstyle in chapter 3, put up a poll in Patreon for the char design. The appearance will not change because of the traits, but there will be an alternate version to the MC in late game tied to specific game choices.
I also wanted to ask this as based off the current files of the guys. Many of them prefer the feminine trait with four to five potentials candidates which includes with as Henrik as any, two masculine, one fitness, and a none category. Can there maybe be a bit more balance for the traits as maybe femininity seems like like the highest account for these routes?
I'm afraid that at a stage when the characters have already been thought out, it would be unwise to change their preferences. You can change the course of events by adding some details, but changing one trait that is in harmony with the personality as a whole would oblige the author to rethink the character.
You could suggest introducing new characters, but I would be careful with such ideas, because there are already more than a dozen main characters and many more side characters. It's one thing to create a story along the lines of an anime - there are specific types who respond and act in a specific way. Everything is predictable. Here, however, the author creates his own template.
Although the decision to make such risky personality changes or add characters is up to the author anyway.
To me, the development of this game already looks like a highly ambitious madness, balancing on the verge of creating something between a utopian dream, introspective observation, and erotic fantasy. And I'm fascinated.
Hi there, the attribute preference is a bonus mechanism you will see in Chapters 2-3. It makes it easier to romance them if you are their type. It will be clearer once the game gets there.
Hi there, you can check out the character profiles under 'factions' in-game. Tyr, Kirk, Erland, Borge and Ralf are not hairy. I have public posts on Patreon too, if you want to know more about the characters.
This game has resonated so well with me, I've never expected to fall in love with it so much. I adore every detail you've put into this game. The storyline, the characters, and the rich atmosphere they're in. I simply adore all of it, and will be in the forefronts supporting this to its completion. You've earned another loyal supporter today!
Keep up the wonderful work you've created, I'm cheering for your success!
Hi KKchar I love your game and the story is so good and I also love Norse mythology and I will patiently wait for future updates of the game to come my only question is can the main character also romance mature older characters in the game besides the hot muscle guys featured in the poster that's my only question hope you will answer it
Hi Baralover, thanks for playing the game! Henrik (the guy in the white shirt second bottom-up) would have been the oldest in-game at about twice the age of MC. Older love interests might not be plausible as the story world conditions are harsh - people give birth and die young.
I got to play the Renpy version for the first time and I'm really impressed! Everything is an improvement with respect to the other version, and it works seamlessly. Only thing, the sound effect of when you put things into the inventory is a bit weird, and rather unpleasant.
Ah, and I'd add the Load button and the Main menu button in the string of commands at the bottom, currently there's just the Quick load (in addition to save and quick save, of course).
I know that in Renpy it's possible to name the save slots (useful if, like me, someone wants to pursue multiple routes). I don't seem to have found a way in the current version, is that implemented?
Hi Perles, thanks for all the earlier suggestions. The inventory sound effect was the same as Tyrano, but that can be easily fixed/replaced. Main menu to load is at the right btm, or you can hit Esc for the Main menu to pop up. Let me check with the programmer if he had changed the default UI.
Currently I ran out of resources to make anymore UI changes, the programmer said he might be able to add in more slots, but naming them would require more resources. In any case, the game play for chapter 1 will be more on resource management (energy, food materials) and you can pursue multiple routes (if you have the game resources for it). We can see if naming saves will still be important to players after chapter 1...
The only game where I've seen the implementation of save names is Camp Buddy. There's a very creative design of the entire interface, including the save section. Although I feel uncomfortable mentioning and complimenting another game here. But I haven't found any private forms of communication on this site, on the other forum, or on Patreon.
I mention it only because the programmer could see how certain features were implemented - not to borrow, but to study, because at one time the developers of Camp Buddy also suffered from various technical errors.
PS. I have not tried the new (Ren'Py) version. I'm not sure if I need to look at it right now - the screenshots show me clearly enough the amount of changes made. But of course I'm mindful of this unusual game.
Thanks for the reference! I'll check it out. As the gameplay will be quite different from chapter 1 onwards (more crafting and quests). will see whether named saves will make a difference to players. This is because character routes progress through completing quests, and that depends on the attributes the player builds over time. It shouldn't matter much in the early chapters, but will hear the feedback when C1 is launched. Thanks for the support and all the useful guidance!
CB has a demo version, so you can probably use it to see some technical points, if there is a strong interest in them.
As for the loading option, I hope it does not cause any errors related to all sorts of mechanics in the game (relationships, inventory, stats, crafting). I don't know how Ren'Py works, but I accept the possibility that loading not from the main menu may cause errors, like duplicating or something more serious. I can't remember where I've encountered this kind of thing - in Ren'Py, RPG Maker or some other games - it definitely happened, but I can't say where or when.
I actually know several Renpy games that have the save naming (or the name of save page): SpacecorpsXXX, BoundbyNight, Once more from the top, Justbros, BoundtoCollege all have -if I'm correct- the save name. The appearance of the save page is however different (they have the classic multi-page, 6-saves-per-page structure)., I don't know if it plays any role.
For reference, I -and many other players I'd say- usually like more than one love interest, so we start different saves, each of them on a specific route that we like, so having the possibility to name the save games is helpful to recall what you're doing. Not essential, but helpful.
As a swede, I have to point out though that Britt's not fooling anyone. Britt is still very much a girls name, haha. It's actually a shortened form of Birgitta in Swedish, which is equivalent to Brigit in English.
Sorry, this game does not support character customisation. The protagonist's look will change, towards the end, if the player makes specific game choices.
That sounds kinda cool, too - since it makes those choices even more meaningful. I think your system of also hinting on how which choices affect which stats/traits really helps with that.
It would be nice if "feminine" and "masculine" were not explicitly bound to appearance though - since I have made the experience, that "rough looking" guys can still be extremely sensitive and have quite a few "feminine" qualities, too. And, after all, pain-resistence is one of those (if women had the pain tolerance of men, they might die a lot more often from child-birth or at least faint during it from the pain and require c-sections because of it to bear their children) - even though it's often falsely attributed to "hard men" (which is bs, of course).
So, since stories always enforce or challenge/inspire certain concepts in those listening/reading/playing through them, it would be really quite awesome to have this reality-based complexity in human personalities somehow represented. Especially since your dystopian, post-apocalyptic environment seems quite plausible and realistic, too. I'm gonna be curious to see where you're gonna take this beautifully rendered (love the atmosphere) and intricately thought-through gameplay of your piece of art.
Very intriguing really - especially seeing so many diverse characters, too. Yet, we humans are also diverse within each ourselves - which is making Life more exciting on the one hand, but sometimes also more exhausting and even devastating since too many seem to try and conform to what they think is "expected" of them and not grow to dissolve their own "inconsistencies" within themselves and appease this inner war between head/mind and heart/emotions by understanding that emotions are a "biological feedback projection" for our own values, expectations and needs.
Cheers and looking forward to the next/first chapter (after the enticing Prologue)
The physical modification changes are independent of the fem/masc scores. Players can be high in both fem and masc scores, though it will be at the expense of the other stats - If the player chooses to role play instead of optimizing. Chapter 1 will reveal more of the game design, thanks for playing!
When is Android gonna get released? Been trying playing the windows version with Joiplay (renpy player) but with no luck because the app is only stuck on loading screen and then will exit . :( so my only hope now is for the android version to get released.. :(
I'm so sorry that the Android build did not work out - too many bugs and it will require parallel development from the other platforms. After the game is completed and I have enough resources, I might try engaging another programmer for Android build.
aw thats too bad. :( can i ask a favor? Can you guys please put .sh file inside the windows version? Because usually, there are 3 extensions are included when it comes to Renpy window games there are: .sh .py and .exe
This file only has 2 the .py and .exe
Maybe if .sh is inside, the game will work on Joiplay? So that us, android users can still play the window version on our mobile phones. Thank you! 😊
I've only just started playing this but I have to say I love it so far, tho I'd really like to have a button to hide the text box like there normally is in renpy, a scroll back would be great too, but I get it if you don't want that for chose sake or something, it would just be nice. but the pictures are so beautiful some time I'd really like to see the whole thing unobstructed.
Thanks for the feedback! Let me speak to the programmer about hiding text box. Unfortunately, roll back cannot be done due to scripting clashes with the game.
Sry, Kirk is the guy with the towel. Erland is the man on the bike. They are the main love interests. You can read more about them in the Prologue Main menu under 'Factions'.
Ok so i've finally started and i had to stop because wow...this game got me emotional with all the family bonding and stuff. it threw for a loop, i was enduring it and then boom family dinner with that sweet, yet sad song playing. this game is exceeding my expectations and i love it so far. The men are fine as hell, the ost are all amazing, the story surprised me but as tragic as it is i love it. Also loving how interactive everything is (love me a good choices matter story) . Good job im so looking forward to the future of this.
Where can i find the ost that played at the family dinner?
This is genuinely the most exciting adult game demo I've ever played! Thanks for you're hard work. You're patreon link (https://patreon.com/KKChar) doesn't seem to work, could you drop another one?
I'm so sorry... the android build didn't work. The programmer says it will require a separate project by itself because the level of customization needed is significant.
Unfortunately the Tyrano-Script-Game(s) like this one doesn't work with WINE (WINdows Emulator) on Linux - and when it doesn't have a Youth Protection Rating, it might also not be available on Steam in my country, if it's available there.
It would be cool, if the Tyrano-Developers would provide a Linux-Version finally, but I've seen the Discussions on Steam and it's still not there or problematic for users, sadly.
(Steam-Deck also runs Linux, btw.) If anyone has tips how to maybe get it to run via Lutris/WINE, please answer to my comment and thanks in advance! <3
Ah, it worked pretty awesome now with Ren'py <3 Only had a bit trouble clicking anything in the Bedroom in the first scene there. But since it eventually worked, I didn't mind and could enjoy the rest of the story.
Would be nice to have more saving slots though (unless there are a lot more in the paid version, of course) ^_^ But glad it works now *yay*
The demo is incredible and Looking forward to the next chapter,I love the music and the set of the background of the game. By the way, I hope there will be some rollback option and more details of things when in bag, like their names. Thanks.
Thanks for playing! Tooltip will be implemented for ren'py but not the roll back option because the scripting is incompatible with crafting. Saving game will be easier, and other UI improvements will be made as well.
playing the demo and using the guide, I became stuck trying to get to backyard and can not progress. I click when the pointer appears on the left side of the screen and nothing happens.
Hi there, the current Tyrano build may have some bugs on scenes / CGs not loading properly for some players. The Ren'py version should be out by this weekend - it will be more stable with clearer UI.
I am very much enjoying this game so far from the characters to the lore to the atmosphere and music of the game! I hope to be able to see more of this project.
One major are I would explore is updating the UI a bit. The markers to move from one location to another is difficult to determine, so I found myself going back and forth and even pressing the same places over and over again trying to go to a specific place. The menu at the bottom is also a bit small that it is difficult to read. While I mentioned I enjoy the music, I wish there was more! Even just the average scene it would be much better with some small background noise so it is not entirely silent. If you did not have this for game development reasons, I completely understand but I do miss having a reverse option to go back just in case.
Great job so far, and thank you for making this beautiful game!
Hi there, thanks for playing! Most of the UI issues will be addressed in the Ren'py. The reverse option may not be possible because later, the game will have a heavy crafting element (incompatible scripting). The locations will be labeled, sound effects should be persistent, and the UI text will be bigger and more readable.
Awesome, thank you! I completely understand on the reverse option not being possible. I wish you the best on this game, looking forward to seeing more!
I was using it. I just couldn't figure out what to click for the Will. it was the book in the Hall. I'm not the best at finding items in these things ;) Great artwork so far! An interesting world, I look forward to finding out more about all the people we meet.I hope you'll be able to continue the great work.
Hi Vinglo, this game is still in its early stages of development. This post was meant to gather feedback. I will announce the updates for the entire game release when I get a better sense of the timeline. In the meantime, I will release the game by Arcs or Chapters on Patreon.
Hallo, KKChar, I am so happy to find your game. Congratulations to your demo. I found it very promising, you have fresh ideas and good taste, the story doesn't seem to be superficial like many others, and although sometimes there could be risk not to became too much "schematic" or "naive", I believe your aspirations are high. I am glad to read you are going to swith on renpy, there are many useful funcionalities. I am also very happy to lear that ted developer of BoundByNight is offering you help. He is a very estimated developer. Please, let me know, when you make another progress with your game and open your patreon page. I will gladly support. Thank you, stay well and, please, keep your charming work!
Hi there! I'm working on the non-technical aspects of chapter 1, asset creation, game design etc. Progress will be slow because of the migration - the existing game structure needs to be overhauled as Ren'py workflow is different from Tyrano (e.g. they do not automatically resize assets, differences in native functions, acceptable format etc).
I wasn't really expecting this game to be this good. It's really immersive and its lore is quite fascinating, I just really feel like the trip to the end of the demo is quite fast and it could have been a little more developed to show more things about this world.
Anyway, overall I'm really excited to play upcoming updates.
Have you considered to create a Patreon? You will get more visibility that way.
Thanks for playing the demo! Originally I had intended for it to be longer to introduce all 9 LIs, the Valley, and their customs (mid Chapter 1). But I had to trim it to meet up the upload requirements (1GB), and Tyrano also got a bit unstable.
Some of the players here suggested Patreon too. I paid a programmer to migrate the demo for me to Ren'py. After that, I would need to see how steep the (Ren'py) learning curve is for me before deciding how to proceed with developing this game. I posted here to get some targeted feedback, and the community has given me great ideas on improving the UI/UX.
Hey there, KKChar. On Ren'Py, you're doing a few things with clickable images for navigation and so on that are beyond my skillset, but RenPy is generally considered to be a very creator-friendly platform (part of why it's so popular). There are also a lot of great Youtube video tutorials. If you're on Discord, I also recommend checking out the "Homotextual Gaming Guild" server; it's a collection of VN devs (Young Marcus, Grizzly Grove) and they have a tech-talk channel where I'm sure you could get some LGBT-friendly support and guidance. If you have trouble finding it, DM me on Discord and I'll send you an invite. Just be careful about over-extending yourself and burnout!
This was really good. Seems very ambitious. I just kind if wish some of the masculine guys also liked masculine guys, but most seem to prefer femininity which seems to be the way to go or you get locked out of many paths. It would also be nice to know what some of the items in the inventory are because it can be hard to tell by the small picture.
Thanks for playing and the feedback! I'm experimenting with a new genre and game mechanics. I will see how that works out. I'm working with a Ren'py programmer to rework the inventory/crafting system, and address other UI issues the players raised.

oh sweet, thank you
When will the Android version arrive?😥 I tried to play the PC version through joirplay but I couldn't
Have you tried running the linux version on joiplay?
I just did this with all versions, it stays on a loading screen for a while then exits the app alone
I'm sorry to hear that.. I will work on an Android version after all the chapters are completed. It requires separate programming and UI development.
there will be bad endings right
There will be multiple endings for the main story and the love interest arcs, depending on the choices you make and how you build your character.

Kirk is one of the 9 main love interests! His arc will start in Chapter 1,
Who is Kirk?
Sry, Kirk is the guy with the towel. Erland is the man on the bike. They are the main love interests. You can read more about them in the Prologue Main menu under 'Factions'.
So, both the Kirk and Erland are the main love interests? That sounds fantastic!

Glad that you liked it! I think the artist name is Serge Quadrado. Will do a proper credit roll for the music in Chapter 1.

i realized, did the homepage get changed?
Yes! I updated the page with the prologue ren'py build :)
Once I get a job and a bank account you will be my first patreon subscription. Thank you for making this intriguing and exciting game.
Thanks so much for the support!
This is genuinely the most exciting adult game demo I've ever played! Thanks for you're hard work. You're patreon link (https://patreon.com/KKChar) doesn't seem to work, could you drop another one?
still in development i believe

Hi there! A Linux build has been posted :)
Hi there! Thanks so much for the support. I will be launching my Patreon page and the ren'py update in the next 1-2 days :)
Hello! I've posted the link to my Patreon page, do check it out :)
Does this game have any animated scenes?
Hi there! Currently, animated scenes are not part of the development plan. Will see how it goes :)
I would love to buy it if does at any point in the future.
Only have the demo version?
Hi there! This game is still being developed and will be released in parts on Patreon. Chapter 1 Arcs should be available in July.
I wish you the best on this game, looking forward to seeing more!
not available for android yet?🤕
Hi there, Android version should be available end of this month. Slight delay on the programming side.
will there be a mac version
Hi there, Mac version should be available end of this month. Slight delay on the programming side
It looks very promising and the reviews below are encouraging. I am however stuck at the beginning. I can't find how to make the will.
Thanks for playing! Have you checked out the walkthrough?
I was using it. I just couldn't figure out what to click for the Will. it was the book in the Hall. I'm not the best at finding items in these things ;) Great artwork so far!
An interesting world, I look forward to finding out more about all the people we meet.I hope you'll be able to continue the great work.
Hallo, When will the official edition be released
Thanks so much! The community has given me great advice and support.
Awesome demo, I look forward to seeing the game as it develops further!
Thanks! Glad that you liked it.
I loved the demo keep it up. Is there only one person making the game?
Haha yes, I'm afraid so for now. Will probably go on Patreon and hire a programmer to do the coding.
has development halted until the renpy version is finished?
Thanks! I'll check it out!
waiting for android.♥
Thanks for the interest! Barring any tech delays, it should be ready by 20 May latest.
OMG take your time above all, i send you a lot of good vibes, cheers <3
This was really good. Seems very ambitious. I just kind if wish some of the masculine guys also liked masculine guys, but most seem to prefer femininity which seems to be the way to go or you get locked out of many paths. It would also be nice to know what some of the items in the inventory are because it can be hard to tell by the small picture.
Thanks for playing and the feedback! I'm experimenting with a new genre and game mechanics. I will see how that works out. I'm working with a Ren'py programmer to rework the inventory/crafting system, and address other UI issues the players raised.
i love your game so much and so far, I can't wait to see the rest of the story <3
Thanks for playing!
they are so much cuties in this game, it will be hard to make a choice ;)
for some reason all I see is a black screen, a wooden hoe as my cursor, and "transparent" box at the bottom right when I boot up the game
Hi there, I will upload an updated file shortly to do some UI improvements and bugfix. Look out for demo v 0.1 and see if you still have the issue.
