do you have to pay $5 for every chapter as its quickly becoming an expensive game to buy?
you can become a venir backer on patreon which is cheaper than buying it all separately, and you also get the vanir guides.
How is it possible to arm Aurora (or any last row Seidr fighters)? Why do more or less fighters show up in a particular battle? In a previous run, I had a Seidr fighter (maybe a drone) in the firearms row of Seidr but I don't know how to get it back again in current run. Appreciate any help
you can craft equipment only for the captains in the first 2 rows. if you are in chapter4, if you didnt convince the captains in chapter3 to let puppy stay, you wont be able to use jotuns in some of the fights until you raise your reputation anough by donating and completing missions. if you learn huldra4 before leaving the alphines, you will find the firearm jotun on your way to alfheimr (and if you dont, you will have to find one yourself by fighting the right jotun in the deep caverns)
Thanks so much...It is impossible for me to get past Tunnel Vision in Chapter 4. I have used all of my Bones (5,5,4,5) in Seidr build and was able to complete Ancient and Power Hungry missions with more than 2 days of reserves left, but it's impossible for me to get past 2nd fight in Caverns. I noticed that in my Bones screen, I only completed 3 of 4 in the far left Alfheimr tree. so maybe that is causing me trouble. My energy is not the problem in the battle, it's limiting the regeneration of the jotun.
After activating Odin's eye, my standing is 15 with Fjord, Onsruds and Caverns and 12 with Haugens and Falsens...Undercity is low at 9. I'm currently have Fitness (100) Will (115) and Charm (75).
I'll have to go back to see about huldra4 in chapter 3...I remember one opportunity in conversation with Hildr to learn a new skill, but I don't know if it was that.
I don't think that my FItness/Will/Charm scores were high enough to save the puppy in chapter 3...curious if it's still possible to compete chapter 4 if I'm not able to do this. Again, appreciate so much the guidance.
you can learn in chapter3 skills only up to lvl3. you need to learn huldra4 from hilder in chapter4 after getting to the alpines and before driving to alfheimr.
as seidr you need to use the units from last row in your fights, to use potions in hard fights (i use valhalla for every fight as seidr), and luck to get griffin->wolf and aurora->hildr combos.
Thanks again...I've fixed the Alfheimr Bones to 4/4 and am replaying C3. I will look for huldra4 opportunity as you have noted when I get back to C4.

yes, the vanir guides are usually sold about a month after the chapter is released on itch. currently you can get it (with chapter8 and all the other guides too) if you become a vanir backer on patreon (25$).

Hello, I just played chapter one of this game and I have enjoyed it greatly and I want to get the rest of the story. Is it true that chapter 8 is the final chapter that will end this story for good? If so then I will wait till it is completed before I get them all. Also is there going to be a way to get all the chapters in one download (which would be more convenient) or am I going to have to download the chapters one at a time (not so convenient but doable).
I would also like to know if you are planning any future AVN's as I like this story so far and would like to see more from you.
chapter9 will be the last chapter, and 8 chapters were already released (chapter8 is currently on patreon only). i dont think that there will be a way to have all the chapters merged into one download since the game got really big as chapters were added, and there is a limitation on file size on itch. becoming a vanir backer on patreon is a good way to buy all the chapters in one go (you still need to merge them manually).
there is a plan for a prequel to the game, a trailer was released, but for now the focus in on finishing this game.

make sure that you have all the needed items in your bag. it is common to have the beer missing since it is used for tyr's mission too.
How can I get past Depleted Reserves II? There are 3 treated waters in my bag and I am able to activate the beginning of the scene at Delivery, but when Tyr asks for the water, the game goes back to the Depot and the scene will not trigger again afterwards??? In a previous play, I was able to complete the scene. Appreciate any help.
the mission can be completed only after you see all the previous conversations with tyr and kirk. i think that the scene that you have is a scene before that. in the scene related to this mission, the depot is under attack and you dont see tyr but have to find him (i think that you also need to have more than 7 energy to be able to trigger the search part).
Thanks for your reply....I think there is a bug in the program....I don't think that the treated waters that were rewarded during play ended up counting towards this quest...in the end, I had to process 3 separate Treated Waters through the Chemical station (giving my bag 6 in total), and it finally let me continue the scene.
i checked it, and the mission figures out the amount in your bag (among other conditions) before it's conclusion. its most likely that in the time that it took you to make the additional water, you completed missing conditions too (or maybe you had a tyr conversation already on the same day you went there the first time).
hey hey, so iam kinda stuck on some side quests even tho i have all the rescourses i cant seem to trigger the interaction with going to the places it says i need to go to, and i cant even seem to find huldra essence (not the potent one) in the city

make sure that you have the needed items in your bag. its possible for the mission to show that you have them and it is not updated if you use the items for something else and they are no longer in your bag (beer for example).
you can buy huldra essence in the artisan area.

you should join the discord server. you can ask other players there, and there is also a general guide for romancing each LI. starting a relationship with the guys is starting from chapter3.
Want to give a quick little summary of my thoughts on this game:
+ The game has some really high quality CGs, a huge amount of content (I mean hundreds of hours if you want to try and unlock every CG) and actual gameplay. It's very rare to find a game this ambitious in this category.
- However, and these are some of the biggest detractors: the game is extremely tedious and very grindy. You will NOT be able to complete it without the PAID guide, I repeat you will NOT!!!! be able to complete it without the PAID guide. At times you have to go through 40 locations tediously clicking to find something you missed - and this is WITH a guide. I do not remotely think this game is completable without the guide, at least, not without huge amounts of frustration. The paid for guide is somewhat useful but even then you might still have to go into the discord and ask for help.
- You will have to replay through vast swathes of the game again to unlock different CGs as you can only have one romance at the time.
- Combat is repetitive and slow, multiple times just wanted to skip it
If you do buy the game, I beg of you to use a save editor to give yourself more resources/energy/romance scores otherwise the grind is monumental. You can use this: https://www.saveeditonline.com/

A good game that could use some checkpoints (other than saves) so you don't have to redo entire chapters for different romantic interests. Adding a cheat menu would be great.
hi, i will just make some points about the paid guides' issue- you dont need to use them to play the game.
simply playing, paying attention to conversations and checking the mission log will be enough to get you through the game. the discord server for the game exists exactly for cases where you are not sure about something and getting stuck. you can and should ask there for help, and other players will be happy to help you. there are also some guides for the romance part. interacting with other players can add to the experience.
will you miss out content without the extensive guides? most likely. will you make mistakes? yes. not every run is perfect, and thats perfectly fine. the paid guides were supposed to be for patreon's vanir backers only. they are sold here seperatly because players asked for another way to get them.
No, you don't NEED to use a guide to "play" the game, but without it you WILL get stuck, you WILL miss key choices, you MAY potentially lock yourself out of a romance and waste your time playing through multiple chapters before you realise your mistake. The mission log is very generic - forgot the exact details? Oh, well best get to clicking around. Got stuck? Ah well, best go to the discord and wait for someone to respond.
I think it's disengenous to new players to give them the wrong idea going into this game. It can be confusing and complex. For a renpy novel made by such a small team, its brilliant - but If you want to make your life easier, just buy the guide - otherwise expect intense frustration
I also think you touched on something very important here: "Will you make mistakes? yes. Not every run is perfect" One of the main issues with this game is the amount of time it takes to play through it for one romance. Mess something up? Well that's another 30 hours bucko. Better to try and get everything right the first time so you don't have to redo hours and hours worth of content.
I 100% agree with your comment. Im currently going into chapter 8 with five different characters which means Ive played through every chapter, since chapter 2, multiple times. There is NO way I could do it without a guide, ESPECIALLY chapters 4 and 5, and I would be tearing my hair out if I tried to do it naturally. Even WITH the guide I have made a few mistakes on my Henrik and Tyr routes and it makes total sense to warn people about the drawbacks. The positives totally outweigh the negatives, so I enjoy my time, but some of the lows, especially the battle system, and the drawn out sections, could turn some players off. I wish I knew how to work a save editor, but unfortunately Im all thumbs with those kind of things so Ive been doing it the long way. Ive thoroughly enjoyed my time with the game, especially the world and characters its built, but man, I wish I could skip combat entirely. I probably wont go back cor a while to catch up the 4 routes I left behind(Borge, Ralf, Erland, and Kirk), unless I figure a way to make it quicker.
So I am stuck at the Wolf in Chapter 3. I chose the Alf-Build, have everything from war supplies, power, etc. Yet I can't defeat the ancient. Can someone help me please? I bought all the Chapters here on itch and don't wanna spend more money to gain discord access. If somebody can guide me through this, I'd appreciate it (I really do suck at this combat thing). first, you dont need to spend money to join the discord server. you can ask there in the relevant channels questions about all the chapters that are currently available on itch. the link to join the discord server is above
second, killing the wolf requires you to have one of the lvl3 skills that were required to complete the apprentice mission (in your case fastbuild3), and as an alf you also need to have a drone (there is also a mission to make one that gives a bonus bone). did you craft a drone and used it in the fight?

I have the Fast Build III and did use the drone. Maybe my rotation is not right. I never really got the hang of this combat system (not anyone's fault but my own, I am bad at combat in general). I always try to be as defensive as possible, using Defend and Regroup as much as I can, because once you hit 0 Energy it's over. I can manage to get the Wolf to like 600, maybe 580 HP, but by then my Energy hits 0 in the next attack and boom I'm dead!
if you dont have defend3, the important thing is to block his big attacks. his big attacks are every second hit, so you wont be able to block all of them.
an order that you can use (when no defend3) is:
on odd rounds (start, 3rd, 5th,...)
drone->regroup->regroup->defend->tagteam->trueshot
on even rounds (2nd, 4th, ...)
drone->regroup->regroup->tagteam->trueshot->defend
if you notice that you are out of medkits while combat making more before it will help (everyday there is a chance to find antibiotics next to the elevator, which helps), use valhalla in this fight, and i dont remember if the drone uses ammo.

its in a testing and fixing phase atm. takes longer than usual since the chapter is a bit complex... the goal is to release it before the programmer and artist take a break for the holidays, but it gets a little tight.

how much Will do you have? did you already complete borge's mission that let you choose to increase Will or Fitness? in the fight against the jotun, make sure that you are attacking with borge before britt each turn, and that you have valhalla serum for the fight.
Do you plan to release it on Android?
currently the focus is on finishing to release the 9 chapters of the game, and after its done, releasing on android will be considered since it requires adjustments.
Once the mobile version becomes available, if we have bought the PC one will access/license carry over? And woyld there be an option to buy all the chapters in one bundle?
i can't guarantee since i don't know how much work an android version will require. currently you can get access to all the available chapters (not android) and guides by becoming a vanir backer on patreon, which is a very good deal.

the 4th fights there are against ancients and are very hard. you need to have ammo/medkits/potions/rations as much as they can help you. you have other options to finish this chapter without most of these fights. focus on the habitat location.

Mechas going down I’m on 17 I’m charging it with power but still going down why is that
make sure to use lacerate->firearms->defend mechas in this order for chance to get combos (you most likely know that already, but i am just making sure). remember that the more power that you have in your bag the stronger the combos' damage. also, the more points that you have in the alf tree the higher the chance for the robots to crit. make sure that you have enough ammo and medkits. with the alf's playstyle you mainly need to wait for the regroup drone to crit enough so that he will raise the crit rate of your mechas and you get combos all the time.

a generic order for seidr 5th row is lacerate->tagteam->regroup->defend->firearm->trueshot. if you are having problems with a fight where the defender can get the miss debuff, you can try to use the 3rd row defender.

Chapter 4
there are 3 main missions in alfheimr, one of them is the power hungry missions. to get/complete them you need to first finish all the previous conversations with the related captains.
for the fjord's mission, check if you didnt miss a conversation with jostein in britt's home or the stables, or anders's conversation in the artisan area.
for the undercity's, check if you didnt miss henrik's conversation in the apartments location in the core, or with ralf in the apartments location which is above the bar.

it is a hard fight. notice that you can save between the fights when they talk, and you can try using the 3rd row defender for the fight since she cant miss
there is some use for curator in the laboratory, and in the restricted vendor in the core

Which of the 4 captains do you talk to first for the missions please
if you mean in chapter4 when you get to alfheimr, you first talk to borge who gives you a mission to get permission to be in alfheimr, then you talk to all the other captains (and dont press on anything else since you are not allowed to use it before finishing borge's mission). completing jorgen's, jostein's, tyr's, and henrik's missions will lower the raid upkeep, so finish them fast.

where do I find a cpu key for the power core in chapter four
you get them from Ralf after completing his first mission. notice that if your inventory was full when you completed the mission, its possible that you didnt recieve the cores and will need to load to before the conversation and make space in your inventory for it.

what is the best way to keep the upkeep down in chapter four I keep running out of time

chapter4 is the hardest chapter. the best way to deal with the upkeep is:
on the first day that you get to alfheimr, get the first missions from all the captains and start working on completing them (after finishing borge's mission to get permission to travel in alfheimr ofc). 4 of the missions will lower the raid-upkeep, which is by how much the upkeep is raised each day. so its important to finish them on the 2nd or 3rd day in alfheimr.
every day collect menually all the food from all fields and the barn- this way you will also collect free tokens. you should donate all the tokens each day to one of the 3 depots to raise the reputation with the depots' factions and you also get 1 food for each token.
if you dont have a mission to fight (and dont want to fight for loot) donate to the fighters in the fields and depot. it will lower the upkeep by 1. fighting there or agains jotuns can lower the upkeep by 1 too, but even without that you should have enough food for about 15 days in alfheimr to finish the chapter.

yes. lvl4 skills are important since they enable you to deal combos with related units. after they are all lvl4 raise them to 5.

How can you reduce the inventory when it is full
you can feed gulin with wild game, and you can store potions and material for making equipment in erland's bar. be careful not to have a full inventory since it can cause you to miss items that are needed for missions.

usually its 2 weeks from when the testings start. the chapter is still being worked on atm so my guess is that it will be out next month.

they called CRISPA kits in the old world
when having an active seidr mission in the alphines (you should complete there the huldra4 mission if you are seidr), you need to get hel 1 solvent, 1 enzyme and 1 research and she will make you a "jotun genome data". after you have it (you may also find jotun genome data as a random loot from fighting jotuns) make another research and talk to hildr and the mission will be completed.
solvent can be only be found (by chance) in the alpines by scavenging the base while having an active seidr mission.
is it best to concentrate on the main tasks or on the side ones
in alfheimr you should focus on the side missions. the main missions there require you to have the prior conversation with the captains before you can get and complete them.

the most important thing in chapter4 is to raise your main skills to lvl4. if you are playing seidr, in the alpines you should learn huldra4 before driving to alfheimr. and which shield? if you mean armor for jostein, you make it in the construction area.

the second cg is from the prologue. i think that you need to make potent huldra serum before meeting jostein, answering his questions right.

you need to succeed in the hunt, and you need to have a Potent Huldra Essence which you can make in the shed. the cg is of waking him the next morning.

if you mean the last skill in the seidr skill tree, you cant learn it until you get all the seidr skills to lvl9, which is possible only in much later chapters. in chapter3 you can raise your skills up to lvl3, and you should use your bones to raise the asbru, vitality, huldra and jotun skills to lvl3.

its for the best not to count on getting more bones other than what you start with in the chapter. in chapter3 there is only 1 bonus bone that you can get and its only after completing the apprentice mission
